Date Night - The Great Wheel

 Seattle's Great Wheel

There wasn't a line to ride the wheel.

We bought two tickets.

Looking straight up, it was awesome!

 Self Portrait inside our cab.

 View looking south.

View looking north at the Space Needle

View straight on of downtown Seattle

 View of the spokes.

The cab

It was so much fun.
I want to go again, only during the day.

Well, things around here have settled down and
 a routine has taken shape.

Wednesdays, I get up early and travel to Seattle.
It's still really dark, as I cross over the Evergreen Point Floating bridge and
head north to the Ballard area.

I have with me, my phone, camera, my computer, snacks, books, tunes and a few extras.

After a prayerful, 25 minute commute,
I arrive at about 6:15 AM.

Lights are on to welcome me and so are the two big dogs, who are at the door.

A sleepy man greets me.
"Good morning Mom.",
followed with a warm hug and a kiss.

Then Stephanie comes out holding baby Trey and
lovingly, thanks me several times for coming.

I settle in and put a way my belongings.

This is how my Wednesdays start.
I am babysitting our grandson, Trey!

Nap Time

I look forward to Wednesdays!

Cottage Lake

The rain has not stopped!
We now have a small lake in our driveway.
Tom used a sump pump to rid us of the lake.

He better keep it handy.
More rain in the future.

Thanksgiving Came Early

We had an early Thanksgiving dinner over at Todd and Stephanie's.
It was just our children and their growing families.

It was also a farewell dinner for
Mark, Kimmy, Lulu, Levi, Ila May
and unborn baby.

Yup! That's right.
They moved to Idaho.
(That's why the absence from blogging for awhile.)

I love this picture.
We must of taken 20 or more pictures.
When you have
little ones who just want to play,
it's a juggling act.

Things have been very quiet around here.
Stayed tuned...
I think there is a road trip coming soon!

"Do It Anyway"

The verses below reportedly were written on the wall of Mother Teresa's home for children in Calcutta, India, and are widely attributed to her.

Some sources say that the words below were written on the wall in Mother Teresa's own room, In any case, their association with Mother Teresa and the Missionaries of Charity has made them popular worldwide, expressing as they do , the spirit in which they lived their lives.

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere, people may deceive you.
Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.
Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten.
Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.
Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.

(Still fascinated with signs)
