Huxley Blaise
Born August 24, 2019,
at exactly 8:00 a.m.

11 pounds!!!

 Huxley is our 9th grandchild!
I have been blessed to be the Doula for all of them!

Tom and I spent two weeks in Seattle, serving, attending, helping, working, and loving on Todd, Stephanie, Trey, Scarlett and now Huxley.

But we had time to visit downtown Seattle...

Hold the baby...

Play on the beach...

Hold the baby...

Visit my brother at his home...

Hold the baby...

Take a ferryboat ride...

Hold the baby...

Yes, we did a lot of holding Huxley!

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Tom and I use to live in the Seattle area.
When ever we come back to visit,
we go to Puget Sound.

Either on a ferryboat ride,

or to the beach.
Especially, when it was a really low tide,
like it was one day.

My brother, Steve and his wife live only blocks
away from Todd and Steph.
So they spent the day with us, at low tide.
The weather was beautiful.

One day we stayed home and
played in the new water table,

We also went to the Seattle Zoo,

and rode the Merry-Go-Round.

BUT... we had to go back home.
It's always hard to say good-by.
especially, when we had so much fun.

Now, we are getting ready for Salt Lake City
and Nathan's surgery, on August 15th.

"Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written.

'For Your sake we are being put to death all day long;
We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.'

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us,"

BABY! (but no name yet)

Baby Boy arrived just in time for breakfast.
He was delivered at 8:00 on the dot!

This is Steph, Todd and me in the delivery room.
Holding baby for the first time.
He weighed in at 11 pounds!
“Biggest baby delivered in months!”, said the midwife.

Here we are visiting (I went back “home” to rest and freshen up)

One very happy Ommie

While Waiting...

This summer,
I didn't plant any vegetables or
put out Humming Bird food.
Because we planned on being gone most of the time.

But my garden surprised me.
These Lilies have popped out!

It's been fun to give them out to family and friends.

Speaking of giving.

My friend Mary (her blog) made these
 Lip Pouches,
 for all our grandchildren!
I can see these being used for so many things.
They'll have fun picking out which one they want.

This is how thoughtful she is!
She even made me a crossover bag.
Which I'm going to use for
all my Doula tools, when we go to Seattle.

PLUS, she made a Tag Blanket for our newest
grandson!

This week Tom and I have been on a Juice Fast for five days.
(as of this writing, we are on day 2  😲 )
So far, so good.

The idea is to get healthy and stay healthy,

When we get back from Seattle,
we'll be traveling to Salt Lake City
for Nathan's surgery.

Grandma and Grandpa NEED to be strong and healthy.

Vegetables and fruits only!

All washed.

Tom is now a pro at this juicing thing.

We juice a full days worth of drinks and have them
labeled, in disposable coffee cups.

Grab and go!

When I was at the check out line,
buying all our produce,
the store had a different idea of
Grab and Go.

In The Mean Time...

We have a new surgery date for Nathan!

AUGUST 15th

So many of you have showered us with
your prayers and it has warmed our hearts.

We will be going back to Salt Lake City.

But in the mean time...

Trey 6 yrs.  and   Scarlett 3 yrs.

Tom and I are going to Seattle to see these two
cuties and meet their new brother!
Baby # 3 (we call him Rockey),
 due July 21st.

Stephanie (daughter-in-law) and Todd (son)
have asked me to be their Doula, again!

This will be our 9th grandchild
and I have been a Doula
for all of them, so far.

Truly Blessed!

Not knowing when Nathan's rescheduled surgery would be,
I wasn't sure where I'd be...
Seattle or Salt Lake City!!!

Now I know ...BOTH!

But we did have another surgery!
It was
Ila May.
Here she is leaving hospital.

It was Lulu's turn to help Ila, recover.

The picture, below,
was taken when Lulu had her surgery,
 a few months ago!

♥♥♥♥

So, I'm resting up for a power packed
 end of the Summer.

In the mean time...

I've visited my girlfriend, Didi in McCall...

Spent time in the pool...

Admired my roses...

Watched clouds...

Enjoyed looking for funny signs...

But best of all,
I've spent time with my very funny, husband, Tom.
You never know what he will do next.

This morning I looked up at our kitchen table and
he was ironing a pamphlet that was wrinkled.

Thank you. ALL,
 for supporting our family
during this season of surgeries!
You never know, until you go through something like this,
how much it means!

We Welcome Nathan!

Nathan Mark, arrived on
August 24, 2018

I love this picture of Kimmy and her children.

This was Kimmy's first hospital birth!
They found out earlier in her pregnancy, that
Nathan needed to be monitored due to antibodies.
Kimmy and Nathan were watched very
carefully during the last months, in the womb.
So a hospital birth seemed the best for Nathan.

He came on a Friday, early evening, at 5:04 pm.

Everyone was in place.
Mark and Kimmy arrived at the hospital Friday morning.
Tom and I were back at their home,
with the five others!

Things picked up around 4:00.
I got THE call and drove as best I could.
as it was Friday evening, rush hour traffic.

I walked into their room to see that I had made it!
Mark handed me the camera and said, "Take pictures!".

Praising God for
 a beautiful moment when
Nathan arrived, healthy and beautiful!

First time holding Nathan

Everyday I see changes in Nathan.
He's growing fast!

Kimmy and Mark's children

Lulu, 11 - Levi, 9- Ila May. 7- Silas, 5- Isaac, 2
and
Nathan, one week

With a house full of kids, there is always something going on.
Do you remember the Ed Sullivan show?
He presented Erich Brenn.
Erich would spin plates on tall sticks in a row.
He would try to keep them spinning by going back to the first one and so no.

That's what it feels like sometimes!
Always something going on and you have to be on your toes constantly!

I am a blessed grandma!

On Baby Watch....

So what do you do while waiting for
your daughter to give birth?
Head to the kitchen and

BAKE!

Our daughter is due anytime now,
with child #5.
We don't know if it's
a Boy or Girl, yet.

I'm staying close to home,
waiting for THE call.
These are called Breakfast Cookies.
So easy and delicious.
I'll be taking these down for the grand kids.

When baby comes, I'll be stay at
their home.
Even though Tom and I live only
half a mile away from them,
 on the same street!

The grand kids are thrilled.
 They say,
"You'll be living with us."

I'm trying to come up with
 different ideas for a
quick, easy and delicious
breakfast and anything else!
I'll be heading back into the kitchen,
here in a few minutes.

This is what happened the
 last time I stayed,
for the birth of #4.

Well, one thing "popped out".

My first tomato of the year!

"Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Romans 5: 3-5
