I can see!

Who says you can't have to many glasses? Not me!

This past month I have lost two pair of glasses (just the cases are pictured because they are missing!).

Broke four pair of reading glasses, better known as cheaters, while waiting for my new glasses.

Then resorted to wearing my contacts, which I really don't like to wear.

Yesterday I got my new glasses! Yippee I can see!

The only reason I can come up with, as to why I went through so many pairs of glasses this past month, was because I was so distracted with a new grandson, school starting and old age!

I won't even go into how many phones I went through!

Saying Good-by to Summer

View from West Seattle looking at downtown Seattle

We took a day trip to Alki Beach in West Seattle to say good-by to Summer.

The ferry boats, mountains and water were so picturesque.

(Really glad I had my camera.)

There were kites flying and beach volleyball was being played.

And so many walkers, bikers and people just sitting enjoying the sun.

We sipped our fancy coffee's on one of the many occupied benches.

We stayed until sunset.

Ahh, Summer... Good-by!

Take an under-shelf basket (the kind made of vinyl sprayed on wire) and bend the hooks in the opposite direction so it will hang over the side of the tub. Use it to hold shampoo and tub toys.

Vacation?

Sandy beaches, warm sun, and far away places!

Ahhh.....Vacation !

I took time off this week from my day time job at the high school.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I was on vacation!

No beaches, no warm sunshine, and no far away places.

I spent the three days being a Mom and Grandma!

I spent the most wonderful time playing with my granddaughter, rocking my new grandson and helping my daughter recover from the delivery.

My son-in-law went back to work this week and I got to mother my daughter, again!

Yes, it was a great vacation because I danced every kind of dance, read a lot of books, sang so many songs, played what seemed like an endless game of Hide and Go Seek, went for walks, and held & kissed both grandchildren every moment I could.

But the best part of my vacation, was seeing our daughter, being the best mom I could ever imagine.

Her love and patience for her children is beautiful and amazing.

I didn't need to go to a sandy beach or far away place.

I was rejuvenated by helping out and spending time with the ones I love.

Sunday

"God had something to say.

So he sent an angel my way.

A grandson to love.

Directly from heaven above.

Levi is so happy and carefree.

No greater love could there be.

As he grows from day to day.

I know God sent an angel my way."

Perfect delivery, perfect baby, perfectly beautiful moment last night. He came quick, and without any complications. Mom and baby are doing fine, resting in the comfort of their own bed.
Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers.

"Mondays child is fair of face,
Tuesdays child is full of grace,
Wednesdays child is full of woe,
Thursdays child has far to go,
Fridays child is loving and giving,
Saturdays child works hard for his living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day is bonny and blithe, and good and gay."

Bumbershoot!!!!

Yes, I put up the UMBRELLA!

The umbrella is to help the Mid-wife locate the house where our 2nd grandchild will be born.

Plus it's rather funny that, here in Seattle, we are celebrating Bumbershoot this weekend!

I'm off to help in the delivery of grandchild #2!

"Bumbershoot is also another name for an umbrella.
Bumbershoot is an annual international music and arts
festival held in Seattle, Washington. One of North America's largest such festivals,[1] it takes place every Labor Day weekend at the 74-acre (299,000 m²) Seattle Center, which was built for the 1962 World's Fair. Seattle Center includes indoor theaters, outdoor stages, McCaw Hall, and Memorial Stadium.[2] The name of the festival was taken from bumbershoot, a colloquial term for umbrella, probably coined in the 19th century as a portmanteau of umbrella and parachute."

I'm NO Artist!

Waiting must be an art!

Our daughter is over due to deliver, by a week and a half. She has come up with some very clever ideas about when "she wants" to have this baby. First she said, she wants to go into labor on Labor Day. Now she wants to wait until Wednesday, when the date is 09/09/09! That would be so fun.

Personally, if she delivered today, I would be so happy!

Last week, I dropped my cell phone and the picture went blank. So, I had the guts put into my husband's old phone. It work great until I washed in! I now have a new phone.

I have two pair of glasses that I use. Both are now broken (don't ask). I'm resorting to my "cheater" glasses for reading and my contacts for distance. Both I hate!

Yes, waiting is an art and I'm no artist!

To keep shower doors shiny and clear, use a soft cloth moistened with baby oil. It prevents scum build-up from dirt and soap. And hard water spots won't appear for several months.
