The Wave

Tom and I took a day trip to La Conner, Washington.
It is about an hour out of Seattle.
La Conner is a quaint, little town, perfect for antique shopping
or just getting away for an afternoon.

The Skagit Valley is an area that surrounds the town of La Conner.
It is famous for it's tulip and agricultural fields .

Winter time, the Snow Geese
live and graze on the plowed wheat fields.
A local farm has a contract to plant wheat and
harvest his fields for these birds.
In 1995 it became a snow geese reserve.
There are about 24,000 birds that call this home during the winter.

This is a video that I took last weekend.
Be sure to watch the whole video,
especially after the one minute mark.
And if you can, enlarge it to the full screen.
And don't forget to turn up the sound!
You'll soon understand why I titled this post,
  The Wave.

I tried to post the video without
related videos after mine was over.
Sure hope they are all appropriate.

Reward After My First Work Week

Date Night for Kimmy and Mark.
They dropped off Lulu and Levi for an overnight.

We had "Porter House" Pancakes.
and opened a carton of milk.

We dined inside with Lulu and Levi as our entertainment.

~*~*~*~*~

In the morning, we bundled up and had coffee on the patio.

This is Levi's first time drinking coffee over
at Papa and Gramie-Goo's house.
Looks like Lulu needs another cup of coffee.
Cinnamon Toast is a must in the morning.
We even made up a song about it.
(Papa is up to his old pranks)

After breakfast we strolled around the block.
We always walk with a bag or basket.
You never know when you might find a treasure.
Lulu stopped and wanted her picture taken by this
 "beautiful house".
Little did she know, that this was the home of
our good friends, who now live in Dalhart, TX.

~*~*~*~

An art project to take home.

It was a great way to finish
my first week back at work.

( I really need to kiss those cuties more!)

For All My Bird Friends

I have several bird friends
(and you know who you are).

I saw this video over on The Nester's blog and thought it was funny
and somewhat weird.

Record Cold!

Record low of 14 degrees for Nov. 24 recorded at Sea-Tac Airport
Posted by
Seattle Times staff
Information from the Associated Press:

The temperature dropped to 14 degrees early Wednesday at Sea-Tac Airport, breaking the old record of 16 degrees from Nov. 24, 1985, as arctic air put Washington in a deep freeze.

Yes, we are cold! And another NO SCHOOL DAY (no work)!

This post is for all of you who still have their AC on (and you know who you are.)

How's the weather where you are?
