Tom and I are coming up on ONE YEAR,
 since we moved to Idaho.

We have seen really hot weather,
106 degrees.
We have seen really cold weather,
 -6 degrees.

But lately, the weather has been beautiful!
Today, we jumped on our bikes.
We found a new trail, in farm country.

Come along for a ride!

Off in the distance are the snow capped mountains.

It was an easy, slow ride.
Lots to look at.
My favorite part of the ride, the horses!
Next time I'll bring carrots.

Tea Party Time!

After a couple months of planning,
Lulu (grand daughter) and I served tea, today.

Lulu wanted to do something special
 for her mother, Kimmy.
Kimmy is expecting her fifth child in late May or early June.

This would be a celebration for her.

It was a great way to learn and practice
Hospitality!

Lulu sent out invitations to her mother and little sister.
She picked out the china...
She planned the food...
Flowers were purchased. Lulu wanted pink and yellow...
Lulu arrived early to set up and
practice her hostess skills.

This Tea Party was all hers!

We switched up the couch from the living room and
the dining room table.
We strung antique hankies, from the ceiling fan.

Lulu brought over all her handmade,
pot holders. She used them to decorate the table.
Along with some pearl necklaces.
Lulu set the table with everything she delighted in.
Lulu learned that you don't have to
purchase items for a party.
You can use things from around the house.

Kimmy and Ila May were so pleased and excited.

Lulu is helping Ila May
reach for a gluten free cupcake,
strawberries, pineapple, watermelon
 and heart shaped candies.

I had Lulu practice her conversational skills.
If there was a lull in the conversation,
Lulu would ask her "ice breaker" questions.

The hankies were a hit,
especially when Lulu turned on the fan!

I wanted Lulu to remember her
first Tea Party.
I gave her this cute figurine as a keepsake.

Must be getting close to

Valentine's Day!

While cutting radishes for tonight's dinner.
I found this heart!
Actually, it's two radishes that grew together.
Grand kids are coming over and I
can't wait to show them this
ONE!

Clouds, Clouds and More Clouds

Tom and I were feeling a little
"house bound" and decided to
take a day trip.
Blue skies, crisp air and gas in the tank,
we took off.

Tom found a destination...
Jack Pot, Nevada!

 Before you get any farther...
warning!
There are a lot of cloud pictures!!!!
Every few minutes,
I was taking picture after picture of
some breath taking clouds.

We did stop at the
Twin Falls Chamber of Commerce

This is home of the world famous,
base jumping,
Perrine Bridge.

Yes, we did see one guy jump off,
but not in time for me to get a picture.
They are quick!

This is the view from a look out platform.

Back on the road to Nevada

Welcome to Jack Pot Nevada.
It's about one mile from the
southern boarder of Idaho
Sneeze and you'll drive right
through the city.
We did stop and play $2,
 at the penny slots.

Our winnings!
Time to get back on the road for home.
 The sky turned really dark.
 Snow storm!!
When we got out of it,
this is what we came across.
A stop sign covered with snow.

The sunset was beautiful!

It was a long and beautiful
road trip!

We arrived home in the dark,
happy to be home and with our winnings!

This is what the Lord says:

"Let not the wise boast of their wisdom
or the strong boast in their strength
or the rich boast of their riches,
but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
justices and righteousness on earth
for in these I delight.",
declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 9:23-24
