One More Time!

Mark and Kimmy bought an RV that sleeps 10!

So that's what we did.

Tom and I packed our 2 person RV.

It's the end of the camping season, so there were plenty of spots available.

We got two that were side by side with a

 big patch of grass in between each RV.

The bikes were unpacked and the kids were off!

Papa was a kid again and joined in the fun.

Tom even joined in some wrestling matches

with Silas and Isaac.

Their new RV is so big,

 that the girls have their own bunk beds.

Levi was in charge of the wood chopping.

We were surprised when a fellow camper, 

pulled up in 

the very same RV as ours.

Here we are enjoying the camp fire and Levi's hard work.

In between the crackling of the fire, we heard coyotes howling!

Freaky!!

Must be Fall because the mornings were COLD!

Nothing like a hot cup of coffee, to warm you up.

Lulu found a quiet place to write.

Ila May did a lot of drawing in her sketch book.

She is getting really good!

Lulu and I went on a bike ride and 

found a perfect spot for a selfie.

In the mornings we had visitors. 

Or what I called, our Alarm Clocks !

Yes... you can get 7 people in our

2 person van!

We are back and well rested!

The emotional roller coaster ride is over!

So, here is a quick

overview of our trip to Park City

Released from the hospital.
Four days in the hospital and another 5 days
 before he could be released to go home.

While Nathan was resting and recovering,
Tom and I went for a day-outing.

We rode a Chair Lift
up the mountain.
We got on, in downtown Park City and
rode up to 8,000 feet above sea level!

I just kept thinking of the movie,
The Sound Of Music!

 

Once you got off one chair lift you could walk over to another one and go higher!

We took one back down to the Activity Area.

The Activity Area

had lots of zip lines, roller coasters and other activities, for the family.

We were so excited about this, we took our family the next day!

 There was also, a lot of downtime.

Time to relax or explore.

Three kids went swimming and one stayed home!

The day we went to the Activity Area,
Ila May and I were buddies on a lot of
the rides.
We were good "screamers" together!

The kids rode a city bus for the first time!

 

 Tom and I took each of the older, set of kids, on outings.

We took the boys to

Montage,

It looked like a castle on top of the mountain.

It's a very elegant hotel!

We took the girls to the Olympic Park.

Where the 2002 Olympics were held.

 

During the Summer time, they practice their jumps

and land in a pool!

Our home away from home.

 We didn't start out as campers, until we bought 

this van, which we call, Max.

Let's peak inside...

You are looking towards the front.

Both seats swivel around, to face the back.

Kitchen is on the right.
The bathroom, and

 the closet are on the left.

 Kitchen has a sink. 

gas stove, refrigerator and

plenty of storage! 

On the left side is the bathroom, 

with a potty, and sink. 

It even has a shower!

There is also a coffee maker,

and a TV.

You are looking at the couch and snack table,
(we also have a dining table, top)

The table come out and the couch folds down

into a King size bed.

There is lots of overhead storage and

foot level storage.

This is our bedroom.

When we go to visit Todd, Steph, 

Trey and Scarlett in Seattle, 

we just hook up in their driveway.

No unpacking!

Now it's time to go camping.

We have taken only one "camping trip" in Max.

But we (Tom), have learned all the functions and 

 every feature in our van.

So, we decided to head out to the 

wide open ranges of Idaho!

Spring!

Spring is a new start for a lot of things.

I'm returning to blogging again.

I'm feeling all warm and hopeful.

I't's been awhile since I lasted posted 

and now I'm back, I think.

I'm testing my computer, iPhone and my patience.

I'm praying for smooth sailing, computer wise.

When I return again, I will share just what has been 

going on in my life.

A lot can happy in just a few months!

Vacation Time

Tom whisked me away to Cannon Beach.

If you know me,

this is just a small, handful of places,

anywhere in the world,

 that I love to visit.

 

 

We arrived to Picture Perfect weather!

 

 

A room with a view and nothing obstructing it.

And a friend, too!

 

During our 6 1/2 hour drive to Cannon Beach,

 we talked a lot about

FISH & CHIPS!!!

And we knew where we were going..

 



 

How could we go wrong with a name

like this!

 

 

We knew just what we wanted!

 



 HAPPY!
 

Tom surprised me with a room that had a gas fireplace.

(It was lit most of our stay.)

 



 

The first morning we walked the beach,

even before the sun came up.

 It's a mile down to Haystack Rock,

which looms in the distance.

 



 

On the way back, the sun was coming up.

 



I had to take a picture of this fort.

It was a work of Art!

 



On our way back to our room, 

we stopped for one more cup of coffee.



 

The evening news reported that we were in for a

huge storm!

This was going to be the BEST vacation,

I think!

 

 

We could see the storm brewing and
 getting closer.

 

 

At the height of this storm, it was going to be
 High Tide!!

 



 

And it got higher and higher!!

 



People were lined up all along the bulk head

taking pictures, Tom and I included!

The waves came up over the bulk head,

over the grass lawn, right up to the deck of our room!

We watched with excitement!

 

And then the tide started heading back out.

What a thrilling show, God put on for us!

 

After the tide was way out,

I went for a walk on the beach

 to see what I could find.

 

Nothing but Sea Foam and weeds.

 

 

This is looking back at where we were staying.

 

 

My friend was watching me and

 kept me company.

 

 

It looks like waves, but it's all foam!

 

 

Back in our room, we watched the sunset,

along with my faithful friend.

 

 

Our last night dinner at the beach

has always been, Dungeness Crab!

 

 

 

It was a GREAT vacation!!

 



If you ever get a chance to

visit the West coast,

you can't go wrong stopping and staying

at Cannon Beach!
