Enter The Story

OK, I couldn't wait any longer and just had to share this.

Way to many Christmas commercials and ads and it isn't even

Thanksgiving, yet!

Tom and I have "Entered The Story"!

(update: I forgot to add the credits because I was in such

a hurry to post this. For more information about Advent Conspiracy,

  1. I'm glad you chose NOT to wait. What an inspiring video. How true. We have made some big changes in our gift-giving the past few years and, as a result, we enjoy one another MORE.

I'm familiar with the problem with the water, but unaware of any groups in my area who are participating. Is this something that you can do on your own, Christine?

Thank you for sharing. Christmas seemed to start BEFORE Halloween this year...and not the religious aspect, the commercial aspect.

  2. My church just played this video two weekends ago and we're pledging two units somewhere in Africa, (sorry don't remember the name of the village. I love the thought of getting away from the commercialism with this video and giving back to others.

    God bless you and yours,

  3. For some reason I can't veiw the video...(it's on my end, I'm sure)

but I think I get what you're saying with the rest of the post.

We did an OCC shoebox (two of them) again this year...and Caleb was SOOOOOOO, so excited to participate and to send it "far, far, far away - to a little kid with black hair".

  5. I saw this last season and the video is truly put together so well. We are a country of excesses and I know, I for one could make change in my life and my gift excesses during the Christmas season.

  6. Christine,
What a powerful message! I will be sharing this with Wayne...! I love handmade gifts, in fact I've made handmade gifts for Madison's teachers this year! Thanks for not waiting to share this post!

  7. Dear Christine,
    What an inspiring video.
I watched it last night and went directly to the web to check it out. When I think that 45 billion dollars a year is spent on Christmas and $10 billion would provide safe drinking water to everyone on earth it BLOWS MY MIND! Thanks for posting this, Christine. It is an important message and one that should inspire all of us to consider the part we should play in lessening the severity of this global problem.
    Blessings!

  8. Powerful video and so true! We have lost the true meaning of Christmas and why Jesus came. If we all could focus more on family and helping others the world would truly be different. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
