Out and About

Tom and I went out exploring our new
surroundings, the other evening.
The nearest town is Melba, about 14 miles south of us.
It's pretty much farm country and wine country.

Lots of open fields.
Absolutely beautiful!

The sunset was breath taking!
We were snapping pictures right and left.

Then both of us saw something in the road,
up ahead.

Tom, like a good blogging husband,
said, "Get your camera ready!"

Our 3 pound, Yorkie,
was on my lap and she was ready to
take on this BIG dog.

But hey, we're not in Redmond anymore...

It's a cow!

I think Lucy scared the cow!

Tom and I have a few things to learn
about our new home and surrounding area.

Yup, we're not in Redmond anymore!

"The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the works of his hands."

Psalm 19:1

  1. Ha, reminds me of my younger years being raised in Missouri. You never wanted to drive too fast over a hill, as a cow might be on the other side to meet you!
I got a feeling you're going to love your new home, Christine!

  2. That sunset is amazing! I can't imagine driving along a road and a cow is up ahead. I'm glad you got your camera out. Great shots.

  3. I've seen lots of things walking across the road, but a cow has NEVER been one of them!

  4. Absolutely love this post, Our terrier thinks he can take on just about anything or anyone! I always tell people,"his bark is worse than his bite."~smile~
You sunset is beautiful, as is the scripture verse!
Sounds like you both are enjoying your new home, and BTW my dh is always wanting me to grab my camera for my blog, my problem is, I haven't time to post!~smile, hopefully I can get back to posting more. Have a blessed day!.

  5. What a gorgeous sunset and have to say, that cow crossing the road, cracks me up!

  6. I always take delight in things other than cars on the road. For us it has been ducks and ducklings of late.
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  7. I find it so interesting to read your posts about the new location in which you live. The pictures are so good too! You add a smile to my day too, as you share it all. Thanks for helping me to see what life in Idaho is like.

  8. I look forward to following your new adventures in Idaho.
