Baby It's Cold Outside

This "picture" was taken this morning.
The temperature keeps going down
and I love it!

Christmas is packed away for another year.
Some of my friends are a little
disappointed that all the lights and
sparkle from the decorations are gone.

Not me!
I have my Snowmen and candles that brighten our home.

I have been collecting Snowmen for years.
When we downsized and moved,
I sadly had to let go of most of them.
But not my favorites!
The kitchen corner holds most of them.

The  top of the refrigerator has a few.

This year I add two more.
Actually, the grand kids added these
to the french doors, that go outside.

A few snowmen found their way into the living room.
It might be cold outside
but the sun is shining,
right through our windows.

With the glow of the candles
and the joy of my Snowmen,
our home is warm inside.

  1. I can't believe this. I also decorate with snowmen the month of January. I never knew of anyone else who did that. Yours are wonderful. But you can keep the cold. Brrr...

  2. I too love snowmen. Your collection is very nice! Your home looks so comfy and warm. I'd have to be to survive those temps. :D We had a little snow last week. It's been so cold here it hasn't melted much. We're headed for a warmup near the 40's though. Still have my decor up and need to get started taking it down. I'd rather not. :D

  5. I love your snowmen. It seems that snowmen have been popping up around our Florid home too thanks to Jim who brought a few with him after our visit home at Christmas. He is always full of surprises.

  6. I LOVE your snowmen!! January is always so depressing in my house after I take Christmas down. Your home is so beautiful too. My sister collects snowmen so I may just have to go get a few from her.

  8. Your home is charming, Christine. The snowmen add a sweet, whimsical touch. We've had really cold temps and snow here for over a month. I don't mind at all. Hugs, Nancy

  10. It's been weeks since I logged into my feed reader and read blogs. (They almost kicked me off for inactivity!) And look at all I've missed! Is that a Michel Delacroix print above that little table? I have a winter scene in our living room. Love his work!
