Tom and I babysat two of the six grand kids.
Silas, 5 years and Isaac, 2 years.
We had so much fun.
BUSY!!!
One of the funnest things was
watching the washing machine, while it was going.
We turned off the lights and Silas held up the flashlight.
Then they watched the dryer.
Totally fun!
Monday night was date night!
Let me tell you...
this is one fancy, lite up cinema!
Just pulling up to the outside was impressive.
This is the concession stand.
You can hardly see it.
WOW!
Even the ceilings were lit up!
Being a cold, Monday night,
we had our pick of seats.
We even talked out loud to each other.
We even talked out loud to each other.
We were the only ones in the theater.
Can you see Tom's head?
Before the movie started,
we questioned why we were the
we questioned why we were the
only ones in the theater.
After the movie we KNEW why...
crummy movie.

Amazing at what makes the kiddos happy. When they are happy, I am happy. LOL! Oh wow! Must have been a bad movie. Ha! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteJoe and I haven't been to the movies in years. In fact, we've been only twice in the entire 12 years we've been married. That must have been a bad movie. At least you had fun with the grandkids. What a good time! They are so cute.
ReplyDeleteHi Christine~
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what happened with my blog...you must have logged on before I found the problem and got the rest of the post up...I realized that when I saw your comment, it was sweet and I appreciated your advise and concern.
Grands are so much fun, and I think it's just so funny the things that make them happy...a flashlight and a dryer...who knew!
We have an Edwards Theater here as well, although not quite as fancy, wow! I never know what shows to go to, I guess that's why we stay home. I'll be sure to remember not to go see that movie! Your little grands are just darling!
Hugs and Love,
Barb
Fun!! You guys are like the best grandparents!!!
ReplyDeleteAND... wow! Nothing like having your best guy all to yourself!! What is that quote..? A friend is the one who comes in when the whole world has gone out."... that's what came to my mind. I'm bummed with you - that the movie was a waste of your $$.
What great kids to enter into the fun of that night! May they always be ready to enjoy the simple things of life, although I bet just having their grandparents with them was the key! A whole theater to yourselves! Was it kind of spooky?
ReplyDeleteWonderful GRANDS!
ReplyDeleteomgoodness....that's some cinema.
It's been a while since my hubby and I had the theatre all to ourselves. Nice treat even if the movie is awful.
Blessings,
d
How cute that the boys found the laundry appliances so fascinating! Now that's cheap entertainment. I haven't been to the movies in years. Lately we've been watching old black and whites on Youtube, and we're enjoying those. Hope the new year brings lots of love and happiness your way! Hugs, Nancy
ReplyDeleteAHH! to see the world through the eyes of children, how much better off we would be! I love the go to the movies and not have it full, this sure looks like a nice one! Thanks for the heads up.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for visiting and for your sweet comment, you always are so up lifting.
Blessings,
Sue
Your Grands are just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSorry the film wasn't too good.
All the best Jan
What fun to have the boys over for an evening, and how exciting to have them excited to watch a washer machine and dryer at work! It is great to see the imaginations and minds of children at work, and to encourage them every way possible! It surely looked like a wonderfully fun evening for you and your husband, even if the movie was not so good! Blessings to you sweet friend :)
