A Stay At Home Grandma

Tom and I have elected to stay home
 as much as possible.

We have keep up our reading the Bible, from start to finish.
Right now we are at the end of Psalms.
I find this book to be very pertinent!

We have our Clorox Wipes going full time!
Vitamins for breakfast, eating a spoonful of chopped garlic before lunch and gargling salt water before bed.

But before we confined ourselves to home, we took Banjo to the Vet to get his Rabies shot.

All his shots are now completed!
Someone said that this picture of him,
looks like he is smiling!

Social Distancing, a new term for me.

I take Banjo for  walks several times a day.
I use this time for training.
He is learning to sit when I stop, without me telling him.
To walk next to me without pulling on the leash.
and to be polite to others we see.

But he doesn't understand Social Distancing, yet!

Mr. Pickles ( our neighbors dog) and Banjo
just don't have it in them to keep their distance.

We don't confine ourselves completely to our home.
We take Banjo for practice Car Rides, for the future.

Banjo enjoys the window down.

I even think he fell asleep looking out the window.

The other day I organized and took an inventory
of what we have on hand in our garage pantry.
While out in the garage with me,
Banjo saw himself for the first time in the hubcap.

He curious and couldn't figure it out.
It was so funny, I just had to take a picture.

I'm keeping busy at home.
I brought out Susie, my sewing machine,

We have 5 birthdays coming up real soon!

Three little boys are getting
Paw Patrol Pillowcases!

Three presents down, two to go!

So, tell me, how you are doing at this time?
If you are staying home, what are you doing to keep busy?

I know I have read a lot more, especially about how to keep healthy.

I really like how others are sharing their information on recipes, thoughts, prayers, health, home school ideas and just just about anything else helpful.

Do you have any?

Matthew 6:25-34

Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[a]?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Be Sate and Healthy !

One day at a time......

  1. Right there with you, Christine. We're doing the same...minus the dog walks. Although, I told the kids that if I didn't have such bad allergies this would've been the perfect time to welcome a new friend into our home. We miss having furry friends around the house. They really do provide so much love and entertainment. Stay safe...and keep sewing. ;)

  2. I am working three days a week but my office is pretty confined with just a few of us. In between working I am helping with my grands as much as I can. It takes a village to raise youngins these days but so glad that I can help in some small way. I am really trying to use common sense and I am keeping my eyes on Jesus. He is our HOPE. I truly feel that this is also an opportunity to be HOPE to those that have no HOPE. With so much technology today we can surely reach out to others with encouragement. We are also at our church (thought church services will only be on line) trying to reach out to those who have no family to help them. God is surely doing a work in our midst during this trying time. Stay safe sweet Christine and God bless you. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  3. Our life isn't all that much different than usual. We go to church on Sunday and Wednesday. Monday I went grocery shopping. When we need to, we go to the pharmacy. At home we watch TV, have our devotions, read, spend time on the computer and sleep a lot because of our medication. Both Joe and I are very healthy these days. We don't do anything to put ourselves in danger.

  5. I love this entry!

We're just puttering about doing the next thing as normal. We like to stay home anyhow. That C.S. Lewis quote is great. I'm seeing so many just go into panic and fear mode and they are making mistakes and doing stupid things because of it causing even more suffering. I wonder in our state how many private business owners are going to have health problems because of all of their businesses being shut down when the government offices are open and running receiving paychecks. Oh dear me. Pray, pray, pray. My husband just read that some of the liberal senators and such sold their stock before this started. Hmmm...

Oh Banjo! What a cutie! I so look forward to future adventures with Banjo! And yes! He is smiling!

Love the hoopskirt. ...LOL So great!

I try to keep some backup foods and such anyhow so I'm pretty good, I've been cooking as usual, mending, and yesterday I cleaned up my dvr old movie collection alphabetizing and such so now it will be a joy to see instead of a downer. I plan on doing a little sewing and am also clearing out my sewing and hobby room that the family has seemed to turn into a stash and dash the past several years but I'm getting it done and it's satisfying. I've been covering boxes with the black and white contact paper from dollar tree and it's so cute! I made a new flower arrangement with a tin and dollar tree, walmart flowers yesterday, it's cheerful and just full of flowers for I would say around 10 to 15 dollars. So fun. : )

  6. Enjoyed your post very much today, Christine. We're staying close to home as well. Your puppy is so sweet and, yes, it looked like he was happy to done all his shots. Haha Loved the C.S. Lewis quotation. Gonna borrow that one for myself.

Wishing you blessings for joy and peace during this season of uncertainly.

  7. Hi Christine! So nice to visit you here this afternoon and catch up on some of your news. So sorry that you had to cancel the trip to see your dear ones. There is disappointment all around these days. It is our opportunity to trust Him! As the hymn says, "Oh for grace to trust Him more!"

So sweet to see the Banjo's antics! He must inspire lots of smiles!

  8. Hi Christine~

What a sweet post! I just love to see what your cute little Banjo is up to, he's just adorable! I just think that having a pet is one of life's most wonderful blessings!

Sounds like you are staying healthy and keeping busy. I'm trying hard to stay on a good routine, trying to make good health choices...and use less toilet paper! We are just grateful for all of our blessings in this very difficult time.

Thank you for sharing the words of, Matthew, I can't think of anything more comforting than, God's word.

Stay healthy and happy! You are in my prayers!

    Hugs and Love,
    Barb

  9. Jerry and I are in a very high risk group with our multiple medical issues, so we also stay home... I cannot take the chance of trying to shop and then bringing the virus home to Jerry or even myself, so we have the church shopping for us. Banjo sure is an adorable lil fellow! Blessings to you guys!
