🎵 In The Good Old Summertime 🎵
A day at the Water Park!
When the doors opened, we were one of
the first, to enter the park.
Our grand kids had us climbing up to the top of EACH slide,
and plummeting to the bottom, with a splash.
I haven't laughed and screamed like that in a long time.
By the end of the day, Tom and I really enjoyed
floating with inner tubes,
down the Lazy River!
The temperature reached
a new high for me!
108!
That's HOT!
Even a church reader board,
had something to say about the heat.
Ila May loves to bake and she made
these adorable donuts.
They even matched the plate!
Our garden is producing!!!
We have been eating the best salads.
So pretty and delicious.
What is summer without swimming??
Five out of six, grand kids took lessons.
So fun!
Ok...
Just had to add a picture of
Banjo.
We only let him watch HGTV.

"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
Romans 8:28
Oh how funny -- my son wrote that same comment (that the church said on their sign) on his facebook 13 years ago! I took a screen shot of it and I still have it (somewhat blurry as it might be from my first cellphone back then lol). How great that you guys all got to have some fun in the water. We've had the high heat and humidity since May began... thank goodness for air-conditioning! Blessings to you, Christine!
ReplyDeletefull days of wonder in your world..
ReplyDeletei love how you treasure your family.
our garden has produced tomatoes.....
still green. seems to be a local
situation... i love salads and yours
is so pretty - but not too pretty
to dive in and eat! :)
108 degrees! WOW. And I thought it was hot here! lol That church sign is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun times with your grandchildren, what a nice family! The garden looks wonderful, I just received my seeds for a fall garden so we'll see how this goes. : )
Banjo is a cutie of course...Love that pic. They have videos for dogs on youtube, I may try to play some on tv with my channel master for my doggies.
Have a great Sunday!
Ha ha...You better watch out. Banjo may redecorate while you are out!
ReplyDeleteI am so behind on blog reading. I had a minute so I just got caught up on yours. What a lot I missed! You are so fortunate that you can gather, things are open, and you get to hug your grands. None of that here. Probably not for a long time. No public gatherings over 25 people. No restaurants. No hugging of anyone! You give me hope that things will loosen up here sooner or later.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe it hit 108* there. Wow! Your a/c must have been working overtime.
108 degrees! Oh my! That's way past my ability to imagine how hot that really is. I'm a puddle just thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteBut your photos of going to the park and the pool and all that garden produce, not to mention that sweet pic of Banjo watching TV (only HGTV, you say? haha), now that sounds like a wonderful summer is unfolding in your corner of the world.
Wishing you happy days, Christine!

I am quite sure the Lazy River was welcomed in 108 degree weather! YIKES! Love the pictures of everyone and those donuts are so cute! YUM! Well, at least Banjo is watching something good on TV. I was watching a movie last night that was suppose to family friendly..........NOT my kind of family friendly. Maybe HGTV will be what I watch too! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to enjoy the water park! It is so much fun to splish splash when its hot outside! I just love Banjo, he is just the cutest, sweetest little fellow! And looks like your garden is really serving up some wonderful bounty!!! Such a wonderful time of year :)
ReplyDeleteI think y'all must be the most fun grandparents ever! But I bet the cold water did feel good if you're having those temps. Gracious! Banjo is adorable! Maybe he would enjoy Animal Planet channel too!
ReplyDeleteGoodness 108 degrees is HOT!
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs.
All the best Jan
Oh, how I love that scripture! It has given me so much comfort over the years. What a wonderful time you had with your grandkids! So glad you live close to them. It makes all the difference in the world. The photo of Banjo is so cute. Would love to know what he's thinking. :) Hugs.
ReplyDeleteFun, games, good food and faith. That's what a fruitful life is about. Regards Naomi
