Clouds, Clouds and More Clouds

Tom and I were feeling a little
"house bound" and decided to
take a day trip.
Blue skies, crisp air and gas in the tank,
we took off.

Tom found a destination...
Jack Pot, Nevada!

 Before you get any farther...
warning!
There are a lot of cloud pictures!!!!
Every few minutes,
I was taking picture after picture of
some breath taking clouds.

We did stop at the
Twin Falls Chamber of Commerce

This is home of the world famous,
base jumping,
Perrine Bridge.

Yes, we did see one guy jump off,
but not in time for me to get a picture.
They are quick!

This is the view from a look out platform.

Back on the road to Nevada

Welcome to Jack Pot Nevada.
It's about one mile from the
southern boarder of Idaho
Sneeze and you'll drive right
through the city.
We did stop and play $2,
 at the penny slots.

Our winnings!
Time to get back on the road for home.
 The sky turned really dark.
 Snow storm!!
When we got out of it,
this is what we came across.
A stop sign covered with snow.

The sunset was beautiful!

It was a long and beautiful
road trip!

We arrived home in the dark,
happy to be home and with our winnings!

This is what the Lord says:

"Let not the wise boast of their wisdom
or the strong boast in their strength
or the rich boast of their riches,
but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
justices and righteousness on earth
for in these I delight.",
declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 9:23-24

What did you do on Saturday?
We went to the Park!

It was a cool but very nice afternoon.
We meet a few others there, also.
We all gathered with the same
motivation and passion.

SAVING  UNBORN BABIES!
This year's, March For Life!

 We started out,
 at Julia Davis Park
and marched to the State Capital.

Tom and I, plus a thousand others,
 took to the streets.
We were escorted with flashing lights
by the cities finest, the Boise police.

It was a short walk to the State Capital,
 which took about 10 minutes.
Families with babies, teenagers, couples (young and old),
large groups, individuals, some singing, some just walking.
All of us were passionate and wanted our voices heard.
Heading in the same direction!

Tom and I were at the head of the pack,
so I took advantage of the moment.
I went up the steps and got this picture from the podium.

There were guest speakers ranging from
religious clergy to State Congressional members.
The  Guest Speaker was Ramona Trevino.
She was a former
 Director of Planned Parenthood
in Sherman, Texas.
She had a compelling story of her
conviction and conversion.

We had a great afternoon!
Tom and I have a passion for
those who can't speak up for themselves.

Craft Time

First off,
we have a new center piece
 for our table,
Celery!
Very handy, just grab and go.

:::::

The other day, our son Todd, texted me
asking for some help.
He wanted some ideas for
"Table Time" for Trey, my grandson.

I would have Table Time with Trey,
when I babysat him.
It started out as a learning time
on how to sit and learn.
Mostly, how to sit still for
a period of time, (30 minutes or so).

Todd has continued this activity with Trey!

So, I jumped at the chance to help Todd.
I found these matching games
 and they looked like fun.
My sources:

I printed off two of the matching, flower games.
One on computer paper and the other
on a more study paper.
I then mounted the computer paper onto
black construction paper.
Contact paper was used to wrap it for
more durable feel.

This is my method of wrapping.
I cut the corners on a diagonal, after placing
the game face down on the sticky side,
Then I folded each side.

The "cards" were then cut out.

This is the Cat In The Hat matching game.
You can flip the board over for another
set of hats, to find.

Sure do miss this little guy!
He has grown so much since
 we last saw him.
This is a current picture of Trey
 doing Table Time,
with his dad, the other day.
Trey has advanced way past the sitting and
is more onto learning!
