Simple Pleasure

Voting is a Simple Pleasure for me.
Especially, when Tom and I go out for coffee and a cookie.

We sat at a local coffee shop and discussed each potential.

A date combined with civic duty plus, dessert!

Dayle, over at A Collection of This and That,
is hosting Simple Pleasures.
Please join us every Thursday.

  1. Christine,
Now that's the best way to vote, with dessert, coffee and Tom.... I'll have to remember that for next time!

  2. Hmmmmm, I never thought of voting as a simple pleasures but I guess it is. The coffee and cookie sound good too. Thanks for sharing. Susan

  3. I never thought of it that way either, but the workers at the polling station did serve cookies, and I had one.... so that was a simple pleasure.

  4. This, my dear, is a fabulous post. Just loved it..:)) Come see me when you can.

  5. Christine, you have a knack for surprising me. I simply loved this post!

  6. What a great way to make a positive out of a task most would not really enjoy :-) Simple and smart - I must remember this!! blessings..Trish

  7. What a great way to vote! If I get one more pre-recorded political message I'm going to shoot the phone. Coffee and dessert sounds so calming. Have a great day...Jude

  8. Totally agree with this one!

I've never understood how some folks don't like to vote. To me, it's an "outing". Now, I think I would love it even more with a little coffee and cookie included.

  9. first got to tell you...I love that photo at the top of your blog. Beautiful. And I too is a privilege denied to so many around the globe. Love how you go about doing it.

  10. Maybe this a little tradition I should start with my hubby...I like it!

    Great post.

  11. Well, having coffee and dessert certainly makes the task easier. My post also included coffee, but there was no voting going on. :) best wishes, Tammy

  12. What a neat simple pleasure.. I will have to try that when we vote
    thanks fur sharing

  13. Sounds like a date to me....good for you two that you take that time together for discussion.

  14. Great idea! ... I wonder how many folks you've inspired today -- I'm one!

  15. So much for a secret ballot!! :)

I posted my first Simple Pleasures blog just a few moments ago with a link to your blog. :)
    I hope you like it. :) :) :)

  16. ALL good things!! I especially like the idea of enjoying it with your love. Have a great weekend!

  17. Nice!!
i love your blog header picture! it is beautiful and so serene.

  18. We planned our Colorado trip so that we would be back for election day. You inspired me to download our local ballot to look over ahead of time. One difficult thing for us is that our state elections are pretty much decided by NY City ~ liberal to the nth degree. Do cookies and tea make deciding easier?!

  19. Hi there!
I found your blog to be very sweet. I'm blogger friends with "the brick street bungalow". I'm looking for other Christian gals that I can blog back and forth with.

    I'm Viola from Poway, CA.

    You can find my blog at;

I'm gonna add yours to my favorites.

    God bless your day,
