Sammamish Valley Festival

We live in an area where there are fertile farm lands.
Approximately 1100 acres!
For three years now the Farmers celebrate and
teach the community about who and what they are about.

"Support our local farmlands."

The festival is held in the open fields of the valley.

"One acre alone can produce 10 tons of mixed vegetables,
enough to feed approximately 250 people annually at
80 pounds per person."

When you drive from the city of Woodinville to Redmond,
you can see multiple types of farms, from Lavender farm, Christmas Trees, Nurseries,
Pumpkin patches, corn mazes, Chicken farm, even a Lawn (grass) farm.
Mostly vegetables.
Our bounty. for the day!

  3. Now see, THIS would be right up my alley!

BTW, we discussed your little Free Library at the Sunday table yesterday. We all think you rock. My mom loved the post where you checked out the view of your place from the new condos. It made he laugh!

  7. This is great. We are learning about a garden near us that a man from the church started. It is great and you can have a plot and part of it goes to those in need of food. It has a wonderful vision behind it.
We all need to learn more about local farmers.
    Thanks for sharing

  8. Fresh produce is a gift, and you shared some important facts in regards to it. Local farmers and the land they work, are things we sometimes take for granted. Thank you for sharing this.
