Date Night

Tom and I make an annual trip to the Mall,
 this time of year.
Last night was the night.
We enjoy watching parents and their children,
when the little ones sit on Santa's lap.
All those eager, excited, scared, shy, happy,
and sometimes naughty little kids.
A long time ago,
I worked as Santa's Helper at this very same place.

Now, that is a story and a half!
If you have a couple hours I can tell you some really funny stories.

We don't buy anything except a coffee.
Just walking around and looking at the decorations,
 is all that we need.

OH, WAIT ...
LOOK !!!

You can buy a car inside the Mall!!
This is a first for me.
It's an electric car.

 Comes with a Snowboard!

After all the window shopping we could take in,
we then went out for a seafood dinner.

The view from the restaurant overlooked the water,
 where The Christmas Ship sails.
The biggest boat is the leader and is followed by several
smaller boats, that are all decked out with lights.
They all tour around the lake and stop at arranged stops,
where there are bonfires and caroling.

We also drove around to look a certain homes that
are all aglow with lights.

This morning we woke up to snow.
For many of you this isn't a big deal.
But for Tom, who loves to play in the snow, it was exciting.
He quickly took off to drive around in it.
I kept the home fires burning.

  1. I loved your trip to the mall. You look great in that car. I haven't been to the inside stores of a mall in many a year, although I do shop at one or two of the outer stores. Going inside once a year, though, sounds like a fun idea, just to look around and maybe buy a coffee.

What a beautiful view, overlooking the water.

And then you have snow. Yes, girlfriend, it is a big deal whenever we see snow down here, and we don't want to see it more than a day or two. :)

    Merry Christmas!

    1. hey nice post mehn. I like your style of writing. The way you writes reminds me of an equally interesting post that I read some time ago on Daniel Uyi's blog titled How To Remain Motivated In Your Current Job While Starting A New Biz .
      keep up the good work.

  2. You have some beautiful things to see in your area. The boats are so pretty, and the seafood sounds great. We had a big snow last week. We are having an ice storm right now and will have some snow to top that off. I'm so glad to get the moisture I wouldn't dare complain. I'm not going out either! Hugs and Merry Christmas!

  4. Isn't that fun! If you aren't rushed, don't have a list and don't feel any pressure, being out and about in the Christmas bustle can be really enjoyable! I think yesterday I was the only one that fit that bill. Everyone else looked like they would kill someone if they had the chance. lol....

I think you look great in that little electric car. It's tiny...like your little cottage. ha.
