Thirty seven years ago,
I wore this dress for my wedding .
It was made especially for me.
The influence was the Gunny Sak style.
I loved it then and still love it today.
Then three years ago, after losing some weight,
I slipped it on again (big smile).
Today, my grand daughter is wearing it and
having a great time knowing it was my
wedding dress.
A new life, a new way.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation.
The old has passed away,
behold the new has come."
2 Corinthians 5:17
It's beautiful! I love Gunny Sak dresses, they need to have a comeback and sell them for those of us who still love feminine clothing.

Oh what fun! You had a lovely dress indeed. And now the little Miss will enjoy dressing up and start dreaming her own bridal dreams.

YOU (then and now) and Miss Lulu are BEAUTIFUL wearing your wedding dress! So awesome. I saw a photo shoot for a young woman's baby girl where they used her wedding dress as a prop... dreaming of the day the baby daughter would wear the mom's dress at her own wedding... they were already imagining the slide show with baby wrapped in dress beside bride wearing the dress. Some people think of everything! Maybe Lulu will wear it again one day. blessings and big hugs ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteI remember Gunnie Sax! I had several of their dressy dresses for banquets and proms. Loved them! How fun to get back into your wedding dress! Good for you! Lulu looks great in it, too!
ReplyDeleteYou are still rockin' that dress . . .
ReplyDeleteA beautiful dress and a charming new wearer!
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for your input on painting my front door. Alas, rain is predicted through Tuesday but it WILL eventually be done!
Have a lovely weekend!
I loved Gunny Saks dresses. Had a couple myself. It's a beautiful dress, Christine. And Lulu looks so cute in it too.
