Our grand kids have joined a Track Team.
The three oldest were so excited for their first
Track Meet.
The weather was sunny, cold and very windy.
The wind made it even colder.
But that didn't stop them from enjoying every
minute of the afternoon.
Levi, Lulu and Ila May
For a five year old, look at her form!
Ila May can RUN!!
Lulu's turn to jump!
Each child participated in the Long Jump
and then several running events.
Here is Levi handing off the
baton to his team mate
for the Rely Race!

I made a special Birthday cake for Kimmy.
It was gluten free, and sugar free!!!
(Thank you Heather for the recipe!)
Nothing says Happy Birthday more then
ROSES!

Still in the baking mode, I baked a Gluten Free
Apple Pie for the Men's Bible Study.
First time making a gluten free pie crust.

Tom is heading over to Seattle
to work on some business.
to work on some business.
He'll be seeing our two grand kids, without me.
(insert sad face here)
But I did bake Trey and Scarlett
some banana bread.
(it's a tradition to bring a loaf when visiting)
When I talked to Trey, he said,
"We are OUT of banana bread!"
Translation: He wants me to make him some bread.
ahhh..., I think that is so sweet!
ahhh..., I think that is so sweet!
So, when Tom packs,
this is how he folded his towel...
this is how he folded his towel...
He rolled it up and wrapped it up with TAPE!
I just laughed!

Now for some funny signs.
Same business, other side.
They have a great sense of humor!

While shopping at our new grocery store,
I spotted this sight!
This is a lot of grocery carts!
That's it for now!
Keeping very busy these days.
Love it!

"Diligent hands will rule, but laziness will end in forced labor.
Anxiety weighs down a heart, but a kind word cheers it up.
The righteous choose their friend carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.
The lazy do not roast any game, but the diligent feed on riches of the hunt.
In the way of righteousness there is life; along the path is immortality."

Love your odds and ends! IlaMay has great running form! It is nice to see you carrying on the tradition of Banana Bread that I remember you posting on many, many years ago! Must be some tasty bread! Happy Spring my friend!
ReplyDeleteTom's towel gave me a chuckle. That looks like something Joe would do.
ReplyDeleteLove that your grands are so into athletics. That's great!
You are doing a lot of baking. Is your daughter gluten intolerant? My pastor's wife is and she and I made gluten free pie crust using Cheerios.
Looks like kids are having fun and all that baking looks yummy Christine . Well I must say I've had a good little chuckle about the rolled up taped towel . Cracked me up . Hugs and blessings , Cindy
