Had some Treats this weekend

Friday night we had special guests for dinner.
The chef served pancakes. It was a special request.

On Saturday we went to the Mall.
Lots of treats!
Carrousel rides...

Ice cream at Cold Stone...

Then Saturday night, Tom and I went to
Tamar's Annual Halloween Party.

Lots of yummy food and conversation.
Thanks Tamar!!

Today is a day of rest.
Whew!
No more Treats and no Tricks!

Halloween is in the streets today but in Protestant churches October 31 is something more -- Reformation Sunday, marking the date in 1517 when Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to a church door, eventually triggering the Prostestant Reformation.

Simple Pleasure

Voting is a Simple Pleasure for me.
Especially, when Tom and I go out for coffee and a cookie.

We sat at a local coffee shop and discussed each potential.

A date combined with civic duty plus, dessert!

Finished!

Dayle, over at A Collection of This and That,
is hosting Simple Pleasures.
Please join us every Thursday.

So...sew'n sew

New kitchen tea towels...
Lots of ribbon...
You got yourself an apron.
Shhhh... these are going to be some of my
Christmas presents.
I found this blog, My Spare Time. The cutest aprons!
Sew simple!
Took me half hour from start to finish and do this post!
And the possibilities are endless!!

A clean cardboard mild carton with the top cut off (gallon size) makes a great storage file for all you patterns.
If the pull tab on a zipper comes off, replace it with a small paper clip. Wind thread or fine yarn around the clip in a color to match the garment fabric.
