Housekeeping...catching up on things

Easter Hat by Google Images

When I say housekeeping, for me it means that I need to "show and tell" some odds and ends. Things that I have been working on these past few weeks that I'd like to share.
I have been adding to my life resume, a few more "hats" . The past few years I have become a Doula, an Officiant, and Master of Ceremonies.
Now I can add two new hats; a Notary Public, and a new CPR card. My school principal asked me to become the Notary for the high school. If any staff member needed the service of a notary, they can walk on over and see me.

And the CPR card needed to be renewed.

Next...

A few of you have asked for my recipe for Banana Bread. The kind that I take to my son, Todd, every time I visit him.
It is an old recipe and is so very easy. Remember, I don't cook or bake much so it has to be easy! This recipe came from my Great Aunt Dorothy, my grandpa's younger sister. I have used this recipe for about 30 years. It has never failed me, except when I have left out an ingredient or two.

Great Aunt Dorothy's Banana Bread

3 bananas - smashed

3T. buttermilk - I use regular milk and add about 1T. vinegar

1t. soda - heaping

1 egg - not beaten

1T. butter or oil - I use oil

1 cup sugar

2 cups flour

nuts

Mix, pour (greased loaf pan), bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour.

Use only dry potholders. a damp pot holder transmits heat. Also, avoid using dish towels. they're not thick enough to protect you.

  17. A Notary now too? You're just the hat lady aren't ya?

i had to take First Aid & CPR this past fall too. I hadn't taken a course in about 15 years. Things have changed some.

Hope you're enjoying the nice days we have off & on. I've been busy planning and getting ready for my daughter's 13th birthday party tomorrow.

My gareden can really use some attention. I've got to get out there. Maybe on my spring break this week.

Your banana bread sounds yummy. I bet it's really good warm too.

    Love your little Easter decorations.

have a great week and Easter if I don't get back.
