Leafing / Leaving...

These pictures were taken last year of our grandson, Trey.
He was into exploring everything.

A rake was so fascinating!

 Trey this year.

The rake still holds a curiosity.

~~~~~~~~  ***  ~~~~~~~
We've had storm after storm of wind and RAIN!
Then the sun popped out...
what a great time for a long walk!
Street after street, were leaves and trees that
were photo worthy.
Then there were those who
didn't appreciate the leaves as much I did.
This man kept blowing
the leaves off the sidewalk.
Only to have the wind would blow them back.
When I walked by he just shook his head.
Even our birdbath was full of leaves.
Just one picture before I took the leafs out.
Well, that's about it for leafing.
Now, for leaving,
I'm going to take a break...
see you soon!
"I have told you these things, so that you may have peace.
In this world you will have trouble.
But take heart!
I have overcome the world."
John 16:33
November
While doing the morning dishes,
 I looked up to pause and enjoy the season's change;
 fog, colors and smells.
There was  peacefulness about this scene.
Yes, it's  November.
are my God!
Let your good Spirit lead
me on level ground!"
I'm Back From Idaho
It was a jammed packed visit
 to Idaho this time!
I have a traveling diary that I keep in my car,
 that I record all the different "pit-stops"
along the way.
I have driven to Idaho 13 times
 (flown twice)
in the last two years!
To help me remember each trip,
 I name each visit.
This trip is called Harvest Festival
But there was so much more going on.
Above is a series of pictures.
Lulu was pretending to put make-up on Ila May.
The bottom set is Levi teaching
Silas how to wrestle.
These siblings love each other soooo much!
Lulu and I had our annual Tea Party.
This china set stays at my home but travels over
once in a while, making the occasion very special.
I asked these two to strike a pose
 and this is what they did.
 Selfie with Silas
By the way he just started walking!
 He is doing so well, since his open heart surgery,
 last May
The Harvest Festival was the reason  excuse
to travel to Idaho this time.
Their church holds this annual event.
Pie contest, relay races, horse rides,
 bow and arrows shooting,
hay rides, caramel apples, cider,
 the list goes on and on!
I could of inundated this post with pictures
 but I held back with just a few.
Lulu and Levi entered all the events
This was the Three-legged Race.
They were on a team that had all ages!
They had so much fun and they did very well.
I was on the side lines cheering them on,
 along with Silas and Ila May.
There were so many kids.
I'd look down and see someone new who had joined us.
It was a great event for all the kids and parents.
This is the Grandma Picture!
Before I Go...
I'm hitting the road and going over to visit
our grand-kids, again!!
Before I go,
I wanted to share with you some fun, pretty and
cute pictures.
 Tom and I went to a High School football game.
It was the Cancer Awareness game.
The top picture shows all the students
 in the stands wearing their pink.
Impressive!
Theses Cheerleaders were so cute
 in their pink tutu's.
 We worked in our garden.
I stopped to "smell the roses".
The large picture is the bench that is next to our
Little Free Library
This is how I found Lucy this morning.
She's catching up on her beauty sleep,
in our bed!
Now, I'm off to get hugs and kisses!
Trey Day
How much fun can you have?
Plenty!
As many of you know, I take care of Trey on Tuesdays.
Trey is the fourth of the
five grandchildren we have.
Trey is our son's, son.
Trey turned two the end of August.
About two weeks ago when
 I was taking care of him, out of the BLUE,
he kept saying, "Ommie!"
Being two years old, the verbal skills are just coming into use.
I had no idea what he was talking about.
But the word was very clear, Ommie.
Over and over, he kept saying it.
Dah!!!
He was calling me!
He had just given me my nick name.
(I hoping it would happen.)
 Just like when Lulu gave me a
 nick name,
  Grammie Goo
It's so cute when a child gives you an endearing name.
You just never know what it will be.
I am thrilled to be known as
Grammie Goo and now, Ommie!
Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like ealges,They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary."
"Suzie" Has Been Busy
Suzie and I have been in super mode.
Suzie  is my sewing machine)
I came across this great idea on how to make pillowcases.
Super easy and really cute!
To help our grandchildren
to have sweet dreams
during the Christmas season,
each one gets their very own.
For the girls, I added a little frill.
What a great way to be close to them,
even when I can't.
You don't need to be an expert seamstress to sew these pillowcases.
In fact, it's only 3 straight sewing seams,
If you start now, you can make one of these cuties for your entire family.
They really are that easy!
They don't even have
to be Christmas themes.
They turned out so cute!
I can't stop making them.
I'm going to make some everyday
 pillowcases for our bed.
That is, when I'm through
making more Christmas presents!
I call on the Lord in my distress and he answers me.
The Last Rose
This is the last rose on the bush for this season.
I wanted to bring her in and enjoy
her beauty.
When I saw it from across the room,
I knew I had to take her picture.
Her leaves are small and spindly
but her blossom is so colorful.
She has just enough
perfume left on her petals.
 I knew just the perfect place for her last days.
It's a room that is black and white and will
show off her beauty for all who enter.
Today
I was looking out my window to watch
the leaves fall and the rain
come down.
On closer inspection I noticed this guy.
Yes, it's Fall.
The spiders are out.
God creation is amazing!
Getting Ready...
Autumn!
When my friend came back from Europe this summer,
she had a special gift for me.
Organic Green Tea
called Autumn Tea
Yesterday, another friend brought
 over some colorful flowers!
Now, I'm anticipating the change of the season.
I am fascinated by the directions.
They tell you the temperature for brewing
And for how long, with pictures.
No need for translation!
Autumn Equinox is when night and
 day are nearly the same length, 12 hours.
I'll be sipping tea to celebrate.
Do you celebrate the first day of Fall?
I love History!
Last night I got my dose of it by watching,
The Roosevelt's on PBS.
Can't get enough!
Are you watching?
Back Home
and we had so much FUN!
Mark and Kimmy rented a Bounce House that was huge.
It was for adults as well as children.
From 10:00 in the morning until 7:00 in the evening we played on it!
There was someone in or on it every minute!
Even our dog, Lucy enjoyed watching.
 It was a total surprise for the children.
I knew before hand, so I
 planned ahead by stretching all my limbs,
 for weeks.
I wasn't going to miss out on the fun!
 Tom had his spot at the bottom of the slide.
Do you see him down there?
Because of his two knee and a hip surgeries,
 he opted out for most of it.
Though he did enter the bounce house
and slid down a few times.
Kimmy decorated for Levi's Golden Birthday
the night before, so in the morning,
Levi woke up to
a wonderment of excitement.
 Levi received a stethoscope for his birthday
 from Uncle Todd and Aunt Stephanie.
Last May, Silas had Open Heart surgery.
(He is doing really well.)
Lulu decided to listen to Silas' heart and
then showed him how to listen to her heart.
I love this series of pictures!!!
It bring tears to my eyes.
This little guy has been through so much.
The love between these two siblings, just shines!
God is Good!
(miss you guys)
Celebrating a Golden Birthday
Five years ago we celebrate
and
we are going to celebrate again.
"Cowboy" Levi,
just 8 days old.
This is what 5 years old looks like.
Off  on a road trip
to celebrate this little guy
(who is getting bigger and bigger).
He told us, that he has his whole day planned!
Little does he know...
he has a huge surprise coming his way!
Golden Birthday :
When the date of birth matches how old you are.
This was taken this morning, just around 7:00 am.
